About the Artist
John Biondo Photograhpy and Paintings

John started his love of art in his early years. Growing up and travelling allowed him to develop the point of view from an artists eye. His earlier works were lost over the years and as life took over and raising a family became a priority, Art and photography took a back seat for many years.
In 2001 John started painting and his first work "Majesty" (Shown below) was a major hit with many people. It eventually sold to a private collector in 2008.

"Majesty" - Acrylics on stretched canvas - Painted in 2001
In 2003, john started an astronomy hobby which evolved into a love of astronomy photography. One of his best photos, Solar Eclipse (Show below) is still a stunning photograph. This particular picture was published on NASA's Astronomy Photo of the day website in 2004. An "Accidental" photo because unlike everyone else taking pictures of a solar eclipse with filters (Which block almost all of the details of an eclipse) John had a fortunate thunderstorm over the area during the eclipse. Because of this, many people say they can actually see the curvature of the moon's surface in the clouds. Truly, a once in a lifetime photograph.

From 2001 until present, John continues to travel to take photos and paints in his spare time.
