While at the beach this morning, I saw these sea oats growing in the sand. I thought it was a very peaceful looking scene and captured it for your enjoyment.

I Went out to the beach last night and took this Moon picture. For photography buffs, this was taken using a Nikon D7000 @ f/12 ISO 400 with a 1/4 second exposure. The camera was mounted prime focus on a 3.5″ Orion Cassegrain telescope. (The telescope would be the equivalent of a 1200mm f/12 lens.

Orion Photo will have their portable studio setup at YNOT Restaurant and Night Club  New Years Eve to take portrait photographs of guests and party goers. Photos will be 5″X7″ ($7.00) or 8.5″X11″ ($12.00) printed on premises and available before the close of business. Larger sizes can be ordered at the time and will be available for you the following day.  EDIT: Thanks to all of you who obtained prints. I had a great time taking your pictures. Placed the photo into Photoshop CS5 and did an edit of the underneath part. Added roots and softened the ground to make it seem realistic. This is a tree on a friend’s property. Her father used to sit under this tree before he passed away. I created this image for her as a memory of her father.

Went to Fort Pierce South Beach Jetty. Just happened to be someone cleaning fish and giving the scraps to pelicans and seagulls. It was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with some birds.

This seagull was moving fast! Lucky for me I have a fast camera and steady hands.

this is the closest I've ever been to a seagull and be able to capture the details as he flew by.
